In our usual form, we’re going above and beyond to protect everyone who comes into the office. We want to prepare you for what you can expect when you schedule and arrive for a dental appointment in any of our locations.

To ensure a virus-free setting, team members are not to report to work if they have symptoms.
Every team member is to wear a mask while in the office.
Additionally, you’ll notice the following Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) on the doctors and clinical team:
- Scrub caps
- Goggles and/or face shield
- N95 mask with a level 3 mask covering
- Surgical gown
- Double gloves
You may not recognize us under all that PPE but we’re still the same friendly, kind, and compassionate people you’ve come to know and trust!
Every 30 minutes, a team member is disinfecting all common areas throughout the office. This includes the restrooms and ALL door handles, chairs, and countertops. Gone is our signature lavender aroma and the replacement is the new norm- Lysol, Cavicide, and Clorox!
What you can expect as a Triangle Family Dentistry patient:
We’re only seeing healthy patients. Every patient is pre-screened over the phone before scheduling. Patients who have symptoms are rescheduled for a later date.
BEFORE YOU ARRIVE:
ALL patients, 5 years and older, are required to wear a mask to your appointment. If you don’t have a mask or arrive without one, we’ll provide a mask for you.
Only scheduled patients are permitted in the office unless you are a parent of a patient who is 12 years old or younger. We regret that additional Guests are not permitted in the Lobby at this time.
Here are additional precautionary and screening measure patients can expect:
- Hand sanitizer at the entrance/exit to be used upon arrival and departure
- Temperatures will be taken upon arrival with a touch-free thermometer. Patients with readings over 100.4 will be rescheduled
- Complete and signed Patient Acknowledgement form
- Social distancing measures in the lobby
- All amenities have been removed; beverage station, magazines, Kidz Zone play area
Once patients are escorted to the clinical suite they are asked to rinse with Hydrogen Peroxide. You’ll also notice other new sights and sounds with hand sanitizer throughout the office and the hum of high-speed suction equipment.

FREE COVID Testing:
We are committed to safety and have been investigating ways that we, as healthcare providers, can increase safety above and beyond our current protocols. The investigations have led us to a partnership with Quest Diagnostics and eLabx. This partnership offers us an opportunity to provide no-cost COVID-19 testing for insured, asymptomatic patients during scheduled oral healthcare appointments.

What to expect from the testing:
- There is no cost for the COVID-19 testing if you have insurance.
- Triangle Family Dentistry will file with your insurance on your behalf
- The test will be a swab of the front of the nose. There are no needles and no pain.
- Swab will be collected during your appointment.
- Results of the test will be provided to you in 3-4 days online.

When you check out:
A COVID19 PPE surcharge of $10 applies to every visit. Your cooperation in sharing the additional expense for these added safety measures is appreciated. We regret that this is not a covered benefit with the insurance carriers at this time.
