Jonathan Puza, D.M.D.
Jonathan Puza, D.M.D.Dr. Jonathan Puza was raised in Lexington, SC. He attended the College of Charleston in Charleston, SC, prior to his dental studies at the James B Edwards College of Dental Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Puza was recognized as the top clinical student in his class upon graduation.
Dr. Puza was then commissioned as a Captain in the United States Army. He completed a 12 Month Advanced Education in General Dentistry program at Fort Jackson, SC, and was again recognized as the top of his class. He served four years in the Army between Fort Jackson and Fort Bragg, NC, before leaving the service with an honorable discharge. He continues to serve in the US Army Reserves.
Dr. Puza rejoins Triangle Family Dentistry after spending the last year in private practice in Wilmington, NC. Dr. Puza works with his patients to provide them with the highest level of care, whether they require simple fillings or complex tooth replacement. He is looking forward to expanding his services to include sedation dentistry.
He is joined in the Triangle by his wife, Amber, and their toddler, Margot. Dr. Puza mostly spends his free time chasing around his daughter, but also tries to find time to go fly fishing when he can.
Nicole Bilzi, D.M.D., F.A.G.D.
Nicole Bilzi, D.M.D., F.A.G.D.Dr. Bilzi moved to Carolina Beach, North Carolina in 1996, having lived in New Hampshire and Western New York previously. She attended UNC-Chapel Hill where she earned a B.S. in Biology and Minor in Italian. While in undergrad she studied abroad in Florence, Italy for the summer which helped her realize her love for travel and exploring the world. If Dr. Bilzi is out of the office, she is most likely on some adventure and checking off another item on her Life’s Must Do list.
She moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to attend Temple University’s Kornberg School of Dentistry to earn her DMD. While she enjoyed her time in Philly, hiking and biking around the city, she decided to return to NC and complete the Advanced Education in General Dentistry Program at UNC-Chapel Hill. Dr. Bilzi is dedicated to lifelong learning and in 2021 she earned her Fellowship with the Academy of General Dentistry. She plans to continue working toward Mastership with the Academy of General Dentistry in an effort to stay current with the latest trends in dentistry.
Dr. Bilzi enjoys working with patients of all ages. She strives to make patients feel comfortable in the dental chair and provide high quality dentistry.
Outside the office, Dr. Bilzi lives in Pittsboro and spends time with her husband, Tony, two sons Oliver and Walter, and their two cats, Lady and Reesie.
